Thanks again crunchgear!
This is better than a Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka! For a limited time you can download the DVD ISO image for Vista and install it to your heart’s content. Obviously, if it destroys your computer and/or life, you’ll have to tell Microsoft all about it. Otherwise, it’s Vista season and your PC is a shotgun
I think it's worth noting that this is only the Pre RC-1 download, in-case anyone got the wrong Idea.
You have probally heard by now that some prices for windows vista have leaked.
Well with all the gripes circulating about Windows Vista, it’s about time we got some prices. These prices became available through a fluke in the Microsoft Canada page. So keep in mind that these prices are CDN and that there isn’t really any telling whether or not the US cost will be at all similar. Assuming they are, however, the price of this new OS are going to be as ridiculous as the rest of it:
And now the prices
FULL versions (all prices Canadian)
Windows Vista Ultimate $499
Windows XP Professional w/SP2 $429
Windows Vista Business $379
Windows Vista Home Premium $299
Windows Vista Home Basic $259
Windows XP Home w/SP2 $259
UPGRADE versions (all prices Canadian)
Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade $299
Windows XP Professional w/SP2 Upgrade $259
Windows Vista Business Upgrade $249
Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade $199
Windows Vista Home Basic Upgrade $129

Has anyone else tried ubuntu yet because it's pretty good. But Ubuntu is the only form of linux I have tried so far so I don't know how it compares to the others. I never realized It was so easy to install Linux and to be able to try Ubuntu without effecting your system is a brilliant idea. I made a post on my site about Ubuntu and how easy it was to use.
Just thought i might talk about it a little bit.
Yet again i found myself searching my RSS feeds and yet again i found something interesting on Slashdot. This time it was an online OS called you OS. This OS features many applications such as IM, word processor, IRC and believe it or not a web browser. Yep that's right a web browser. I tested the OS out and i gotta say it is pretty cool for what it is. You could even command it using the command line interface or YouShell. The first thing i did was see if the web browser worked so i opend it up and typed in twit.tv low and behold it worked. Check out my screen shot. I gonna play around with it some more but it's not something i can see myself using a lot.
Take a look for yourself: YouOS
