I have found a social networking site that is so close to to myspace is scares me. The difference is it easier to use and you can customize your page without having to play around with HTML. I have an account and I have have used more than my myspace account (and i have had that for over two years) if you don't like myspace then give citybity.com a try, yes sure the name isn't that great but once you look at the site you will see it is a better alternitive to myspace. check out my profile (still needs a lot bit of tweaking)
Yes, again I have found that you can run games on a mac, this time it's using cider but using crossover mac. It seems really neat and runs great. Obviously I haven't ran it but i haven't got a mac so how could I. Don't believe me, well heres the proof. Oh and don't think that it's a little slow loading counterstrike it's steam and I know how slow that is : )
Well, I watched commandn and in there webpicks section they talked about a website called portableapps.com. Portableapps.com allows you to put applications on flash drives and launch them from it.
For example I am running GIMP portable which allows me to use GIMP anywhere. Other programmes include:
- Firefox
- open office
- Abiword
- Nvu
- Filezilla
- VLC media player
- and many more
They are currentley BETA testing some oprtablle applications such as Audacity.
Obvousily these apps DO NOT need to be installed on the system itself to use them.
Check it out
If you want the latest news from the keynote that apple is giving today go to http://macrumorslive.com and you will be able to get updates as it happens and you don't have to refresh the page it will refresh itself and you won't notice because it is using some type of ajax.
Gonna go watch commandN now
I recently remembered that i had a blogger blog that I never really used. So I decided to see how it compares to all the Blogging services I have used e.g. wordpress, vox and thingamablog.
Well it seems that Blogger is almost the same as thingamablog apart from thingamablog is uploaded via FTP to your own server and the templates are slightly coded differentley. well anyway if you want to see the one post i made It's here
I just found this on crunchgear.
It seems to be some sort of hand held device.
MacNN dug up an Apple patent, filed September 7, for a multi-functional device that appears to be a cross between a phone, a PDA, and a music player. Let’s call it a Treo, for sake of argument. This Apple Treo is described thusly:
"FIG. 2 is a simplified diagram of a multi-functional hand-held device 100. The multi-functional hand-held device 100 integrates at least two devices 102 into a single device. Each device 102 includes both hardware and software components 104 and 106, which are integrated into multi-functional hand-held device 100. It should be pointed out that the multi-functional hand-held device 100 is not limited to only two devices, and may in fact integrate any number of devices."
Clearly, this is some sort of phone. And clearlier it is very special! And clearliest this will probably create a wildfire of crazy Apple iPhone rumors and drive everyone batty.
Well whatever it is it's the second made by apple patent that has been found the second is here. Do you think they will use these patents? and if they do will they use thm in the same device?
Empires is a mod (total conversion) of Halflife 2. It's a mod I have been playing for a while and I love it. As you will see from the video It's a multiplayer game and It combines two types of gaming. The first type is RTS or real time strategy, this is the commander mode. There are only two commanders in the whole game but you can switch with other players. The second type of gaming is what halflife is known for, FTP or First Person Shooter. In this mode you choose a class and help your team by doing a number of things e.g. repairing buildings, destroying enemy artillery and killing enemy infantry. There so much more to know about the mod so watch the video then check the links out.

Yes, soon there will be an add-on for Nintendo's latest portable gaming platform (the DS). This add-on will allow the DS to be an MP3 player. This will make the DS not only a gaming platform, a webrowser but an music playing device too. Whats next video (doubt it) if so then it will almost have as much gizmos as the PSP. Anyway here are the specs for the add-on:
- For Nintendo DS (to be inserted into slot 2) and Game Boy Advance hardware
- To store music you need SD cards. Up to 2 GB cards are supported, this equals to 500 songs (best sound quality)
- Choose between different skins (including one with Mario)
- The interface shows all important information
- The unit itself features another headphone port
Well that's about it for now. Thanks to Gizmodo
